The Kitty Pinafore

So remember about 1.5 years ago when I released the FREE Sydney Pinafore?  It is still one of my go-to patterns, but of course, I will need to upsize it at some point… I really hope soon!  My daughter Ainsley has been OBSESSED with kitty cats for about 4 years now and now that she is turning 5 soon, I can’t help but indulge her.  I know this phase will end soon (I hope? ha)  Remember this POST?  or This post?  Oh wait, or this POST??  Okay, so apparently she is kitty obsessed.

I took the Sydney Pinafore and hand embroidered a kitty face on the front.

Instead of a dress length, I decided to crop it make it a top length.  She has too many dress and let’s be frank, dresses aren’t super practical for school. This length looks SO cute with leggings.

I free hand sketched a nose, whiskers, and mouth and then hand embroidered it.

The nose is a button and the eyes are felt.
