LOL Swing Top: September Showcase

Today is my turn on the September Showcase tour over at Frances Suzanne!  During the month of September, they will be featuring rising indie designers and bloggers that showcase their patterns.  I chose to sew up the LOL Swing Top by Jenniune Design and I love it so much.  I have made two already and have plans for many more.lol opener

Check out the list of the other bloggers and designers involved.  They also have a linky party, so go ahead and link up your creations!Layout 2

Oh and by the way…. I rarely have a sale, but I have one going on right now.  Only valid in my website shop.  Enjoy~!mhc showcase20 code I modified one of the LOL swing tops to have a a separate bodice piece and a gathered skirt.  I did this to show off the gorgeous fabric I received from Michael Miller fabrics.  The gold specks are to die for!  I paired it with a super soft organic knit that I purchased from Mood Fabrics in New York City.  It is the perfect shade of dusty purple.   The outfit is complete with a pair of self drafted jeggings and sparkly shoes.

The back detail is my absolute favorite part of this pattern.  It is just so darned cute.

The other LOL swing top is unmodified.  Once again, I used beautiful fabrics that Michael Miller fabrics sent to me.  The golden birds are so awesome and the pictures just don’t do it justice.   And of course, gold is the trend, so I sewed up a pair of self drafted leggings and added a tuxedo stripe in a gold faux leather.   She will be the blingiest 5 year old at school, that is for sure.  lol7 lol13 lol6 lol4

My thoughts on this pattern?  Perfection and I would highly recommend it.  Super professional, well thought out, and adorable result.  Great job Jennifer!

Thanks for having me girls!

Wow! I love the gold MM fabrics – I’m definitely feeling that entire Brambleberry Ridge line. I think Arden would flip if I made her a quilt for her new room out of it!

These are both so great and the leggings look perfect with it. I’m pretty sure I have some of that same bamboo knit from Mood!

Thanks for sewing up my pattern!
