Prefontaine Shorts for Perfect Pattern Parcel #3

Have you heard of Perfect Pattern Parcel yet?  If you haven’t heard about it, you need to check it out!  Not only can you name your own price for a fantastically curated set of patterns, money from the proceeds goes towards education. It is a total win win for everyone involved.  My Caroline Dress pattern was in Pattern Parcel #2, so I was happy to join in on the tour this time.  Pattern Parcel #3 is chock full of women’s patterns for an excellent price!
I chose to sew up the Prefontaine Shorts for women, which were designed by Jill from Made With Moxie, and let’s just say that I had fun getting photos.
(and yes, for those of you that might not know, I wear a leg brace… and I wore my tie dye one just for this shoot)

Immediately, I got a retro vibe from them, and of course, I couldn’t resist getting all ridiculous and dressed up.

Paired with aviators, a men’s tank, tennis racket, knee high socks, and sweatbands… I was good to go.

Now, why are Hayley’s pockets different looking than the photos of others, you might be asking?

I will explain…. I screwed up… hahah.   No, really.  I did.
I was rushing to get these finished, it was the first day of summer break, I had two kids running around me screaming something about liar liar pants on fire, and I literally flipped the front pieces without realizing…. Until I was attaching the back to the front.

By then, it was too late, so I went with it and told myself that it gives them even more “personality”.   hah

There were a few people watching us… which would frazzle most people, but I went with it.  I assume they believed I was a real deal professional tennis player.  I mean, how could they NOT think that?  😉

Look at that form.   Watch out Sports Illustrated, here I come!

This picture cracks me up… We had the kids sitting off to the side and I was posing and Ainsley yelled “Mommy, you are looking GOOD!”   HAHAHAH

So, clearly, these shorts are perfect for comfortable wear and they will get a ton of use!  I did have to take them in a few inches around the legs, but my legs ARE pretty skinny.  I did the shortened length.

I am clearly ready for the pro level.  Am I right?prefontaine 12prefontaine 13
