What We Have Been Up To!

Okay, okay… I know it’s been a while since I posted a new entry on this blog, but life has gotten a little crazy and I didn’t have the time (or motivation) to write. So, I will try to update as best as possible without boring you to death.

Many of you know this already, but I recently had a miscarriage and that was a total disappointment to me and Garrett. I had been on fertility treatments for months, so the news of a pregnancy was amazing! Then, it was just torn away from us. I am feeling much better right now and we are going to wait until sometime next year to return to the fertility specialists. We are going to take this time to focus on ourselves and Ethan.
Moving on to better stuff…
Ethan has been babbling up a storm since the video I posted! Yay! He is thriving in his speech and occupational therapies and he is just generally getting so much better in every aspect. His social skills are improving so rapidly and his eye contact is wonderful. I see good things in his future.
He has three molars coming in at ONE time, so the little guy isn’t as happy as he usually is. Poor thing!
What Ethan loves:
-juice (this is a new thing for him and he wants it all the time)
-bananas
-Ralphie the stuffed animal/blanket (aka: his friend for life)
-his parents, of course!
-books
-Mega Blocks
-to whine
-crackers
-playing Hide and Go Seek
-dancing and spinning in circles and then falling down
-playing outside
Garrett and I have both been busy doing our usual things. Garrett is a hard worker and comes home all the time with great stories about his high school students. I don’t know how he teaches 17 year olds all day. Yikes! That has to be tough. I have been busy doing my usual daily grind of cleaning, playing with Ethan, cooking, going to playdates, cleaning, cleaning, cleaning.
That pretty much sums up our lives right now. Really exciting, huh? Instead of boring you with more details, I will show some pics!
Here are a few pics of the little dude:
This Pottery Barn chair was given to Ethan from my parents… He loves it!

Ethan and his favorite stuffed Santa:

Isn’t he cute?
Our recent family portrait. Garrett and I both felt like idiots having this taken, but it turned out cute, and then a picture of our Christmas tree:
