Koziar’s Christmas Village

If only I had seen this place when I was little! It was like a kid’s fantasy come true and we took Ethan to see it tonight. I can’t wait until next year when he will enjoy it even more!

I have been dying to go to http://www.koziarschristmasvillage.com/home.html since we moved to Pennsylvania, but I always thought it would be weird to go without a child… so now I had my perfect excuse to go!
We were somewhat lost on our way there because it’s in the middle of nowhere, but once we got on the right road, there was NO mistaking that we were in the right location. Once you get to the top of the hill, all you see is a huge mass of lights and pure amazing-ness. It takes your breath away.
You walk through a Winter Wonderland full of lights and animated puppets in fake storefront windows. It could take a family hours to make it though all of it, but we had to somewhat rush through because it was getting close to Ethan’s bedtime (not to mention most of it is outdoors and we were freezing our tushies off). We absolutely can’t wait to make it a family holiday tradition.
Here are some of the pictures we managed to salvage. Our camera is getting quite old and isn’t working properly, especially in weird lighting, so please excuse the shoddy camera work. I am hoping to get a new camera for my birthday (hint, hint Garrett!)
Ethan all bundled up in his stroller. Kind of reminds me of a Christmas Story:

Awesome outdoor train display (the picture doesn’t do it justice, trust me):

“Street signs” that they had everywhere:

We “tried” to get Ethan on Santa’s lap. It was a no-go this year:

What a fun time! Isn’t it great to have children now, so we have excuses to give in to our inner child and rediscover all this magic with them?? 🙂
