The Wanderlust Collection: Willow & Co.

Months and months of hard work have finally come to fruition and I couldn’t be more thrilled, proud, and excited.   It has been an amazing experience to join forces with a group of like-mind ladies and create an awesome business, now known as Willow & Co.   Our vision from the very beginning was to offer a unique pattern shop stocked with top quality sewing patterns and we have definitely achieved that with our first collection Wanderlust.

When we first started discussing themes for our first collection, we came up with so many ideas.  Some hilarious, some way too weird, some genuine contenders.  Nothing felt just right until one day, we started discussing glamping and the colors and vibe we associated with that.  That theme was immediately decided upon and our ideas  started flowing fast and furious.   Sketches were made, designs were started, and the collaborative process began.

Not only did we have to create the patterns, but there were websites to build, e-commerce to set up, bank accounts to be signed for, promotional  ideas to discuss… the list goes on and on.  Every step of the way, we worked as a unit, assigning jobs, helping each other when we got stressed, and each and every one of us learned a lot of new skills.

I am so incredibly proud to have shared this experience with my friends.  We plan to do 2 collections a year and I just know that each subsequent collection will be even more amazing than the one before it because we are a group of some of the hardest working women I have ever come into contact with.   Thank you so much Mie, Laura, Celina, Rebecca, Suz, Olga, Elizabeth, and Vanessa.

So, if you haven’t yet, please go check out our amazing website, webshop, lookbook, and blog.

I can’t let you leave without checking out the lookbook.   Seriously.   Celina and Vanessa blew me away with this.  I still can’t get over how amazing it is!  We all made samples of the clothing, sent them to Vanessa and she did the photo shoot.  Celina then took the photos and created an incredible display.  It takes my breath away each and every time I see it.  Thanks so much girls.
