Wonder Woman Outfit: DIY Tutorial

My friend Jess from If Only They Would Nap is hosting a really fun series all about Lines and Angles.  I will be honest with you… I had NO idea what I would make.  I kept drawing a blank until I saw Ainsley’s navy blue leggings and plain white t-shirt.  Bam!
Wonder Woman!
Have no fear, Super Ainsley is here!
I have no idea if this qualifies as a proper lines and angles creation, but I figure, it has lines and it has angles, right??   And I kind of love it.
I love that the cape is super flowy and fun.
Learn how to do your own freezer stenciling:
This was such a super easy project.  I used a store bought t-shirt and leggings, along with some fabric paints.
I drew the Wonder Woman logo onto a piece of paper and then traced it onto freezer paper.
Then, I cut out the insides of the freezer paper drawing and ironed the freezer paper right onto my tshirt.
Using a sponge, I dabbed the yellow paint to the inside of the freezer paper stencil.
I let it dry for a few moments and then peeled the stencil up.
Not shown were the red stars I created using the same process.
Easy peasy!
Finally, I cut stars out of the yellow fabric and stitched them onto the knees of the leggings.  And of course, no super hero is complete without a cape.  I took some scrap chiffon, gathered it slightly, and attached it to the back of the tshirt.
As soon as she put the outfit on, she began jumping around, in hopes that she would fly….
but even super heros need a little help….
