Little Bit of Sunshine Jacket: Project Run and Play: Week 4 Outerwear!

EDITED:  I am entering this jacket/boot set into the Project Run and Play Auditions~!  (Squeal!) I contemplated making something new or using one of my other items like the Mouse House Christmas Dress Tutorial, but I absolutely love this jacket so much and got a lot of wonderful feedback on it.   So, I might be taking a risk by using something I have already made, but I am keeping my fingers crossed!

Even though my 50's dress didn't win last week, it was featured on one of my favorite blogs, Simple Simon!  (not to mention it has been "pinned" a bunch of times on Pinterest!!)  Plus, I never enter these kinds of competitions with winning in mind... it is so much more fun for me to have a *reason* to sew and it keeps me on top of my {ever growing} to-do list!

This week's assignment for Project Run and Play is Outerwear.  Once I knew what the assignment was, I was super stoked because I make and sell tons of jackets and boots, so this was super easy for me.   Ainsley needed a new jacket and this gave me the much needed motivation to get crafty!  {see HERE for the last coat I made for Ainsley)

It is January, it is dreary and cold out, and I needed some sunny fabric to lift my spirits.
Introducing the Little Bit of Sunshine coat and boot set!

Features:  Sunny knit outer fabric, fully lined with awesome green fleece, removable hood, option for roll up cuffs, back pleat for flare out design, topstitching for professional finish, and matching boots complete the look!

Since I don't have much time right now to write a long post, I have included a boat load of photos to show the jacket, the boots, and Ainsley wearing her Little Bit of Sunshine!

Ready for CUTENESS overload???

  26. Thanks for everyone's support and compliments! As much as I would have loved to be a competitor on PRP, it is probably for the best right now. Considering I just got out of hospital, I need all the rest I can get :)
