Pretzel Turkey Treats: Thanksgiving

Welcome back to another week of The Handcrafted Holidays!   I have another week full of awesome bloggers sharing incredible projects with you guys.  Up today is Jessica from Cutesy Crafts.   Jessica was my final “competitor” during our season of So You Think You’re Crafty and we definitely formed a friendship.  She is awesome and you will definitely love her blog.  Thanks for stopping by Jessica!

Hi everyone!  I’m so happy to be here today to share this adorable little Thanksgiving treat with you all.

These are so easy to make!  All you need are pretzels, candy corn, melting chocolate, and butterscotch chips.

Lay your pretzels out on a piece of wax paper.  Spoon some melted chocolate on the center of each pretzel.

Arrange the candy corn on the top of the pretzel.  It helps to add a little bit more chocolate to the back of each one before you  put it on the pretzel.

Push a butterscotch chip, pointy side down, into the bottom of each pretzel.

Use a toothpick to spread a little more melted chocolate on the flat side of the butterscotch chip.

Put another butterscotch chip on top of that, and you have a little face with a beak.

Dip your toothpick in the melted chocolate again, and use that to make eyes on each of your turkeys.  So cute!!!

My kids had so much fun helping me make these!  Although, I do have to admit that my daughter’s turned out looking more like this.  Nailed it!  Haha!  In her defense, she is only four.

Hope you like our little turkeys!  Come on over to my blog to check out the pony bead Indian corn that we made.  A really fun Thanksgiving craft for the kids!
