Score from Goodwill!!!

Yay!  Most of you know how much I love to search through thrift stores and second-hand shops, right?  Well, I came across the deal of the century at my local Goodwill!

We have been searching and searching for the perfect item to go above our couch in the living room.  Nothing seemed to fit.  So far, we have hung two different mirrors and one painting and nothing seemed to work.  It was the never ending search.  We attempted to get a custom frame done at Michael’s Craft store, but they were trying to charge us $280 for a framed picture.  UUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHH???>>>>>> What?  $280?  Um, no thanks!

So, I decided to check out our local Goodwill store to see if they had any ugly prints in large frames that I could spraypaint to match our decor.  They didn’t have anything worthwhile in the frame section.  HOWEVER, I found an amazing mirror in the front of the store with a tag that read “$19.97”.  This mirror was HUGE and I thought the price was a mistake.  It is solid wood with amazing details and probably weighs about 50 pounds.  Nothing was wrong with it at all!  Score!

So, I shelled out the $20 and I had the guy load it into my car.  I was so excited to show Garrett!  Even though Garrett was super excited and thrilled about my great deal, he was a little annoyed that we had to hang yet ANOTHER large mirror above the couch.  Since he is such a great guy, he smiled and nodded.

We hung it this past weekend, but it needs to be raised.  (Garrett is THRILLED that he has to patch up holes!)  So, we will raise it up this week and Windex it while we are at it!~  The living room is finally starting to come together.
