Link Up Your Shades of Me Projects

Hey friends!
Did you enter the massively awesome giveaway yet?

When Celina and I thought up the Shades of Me series, our main goal was simply to get more women sewing for themselves.  Often times, we are too busy sewing adorable clothes for our children that we forget about how fun it is to create a new item for ourselves.  With the added element of a color story, it becomes a fun challenge to think outside of the box and really get creative.

Not only do we have the amazing bloggers lined up for the next 2 weeks, we want to see what YOU have been sewing, as well.   Don’t worry, you don’t need to complete a head-to-toe outfit.  (it would be awesome to see that, though!)  We want you to have fun, feel good about yourselves, and take some time away from sewing for others.

The Shades of Me link party will start today and end February 14th.  If you have a blog, link directly from there and we will check it out.  Don’t fret… if you don’t have a blog, no worries.  Simply link up your photo to our Shades of Me flickr group and we will head over to see your beautiful self.   At the end of the series, we will be sure to feature some of you and thank all of you for participating.   Have fun!

Grab this button and add it to your sidebar, if you wish!

What a beautiful dress…you look great in it! What type of fabric did you use. I have only sewed for my daughters so far but would love to sew for myself, too. I have a retro vest pattern I purchased I’d like to try…I’m intrigued by vests, and you can’t buy them any more!
