Free Printable Valentine’s Day Tags and Pretzel Treats

Valentine’s Day is in less than a month and if you are anything like me, you wait until the night before to figure out what to send the kids to school with as their treats.  Instead of purchasing store bought Valentine’s, I love to create something fun and unique and also let the kids get involved.  These easy to make pretzel rod treats and free printable tags are sure to make your Valentine’s Day easy and fun!

These pretzel rods are so quick and easy to make.  I have made them for many parties and events and they are always a big hit.

Supplies:

*Pretzel Rods
*Melting chocolates in pink
*nonpareil sprinkles in pink and white
*bakers twine
*pink tulle
*clear goodie bags

Melt the chocolate according to the package.  I simply melt it in a double boiler on the stove.

Dip each rod into the chocolate and coat 3/4 of the way down.  Let any excess drip off.  I find it helps to use a spoon to even it out.

Sprinkle each one with the nonpareils.

Let dry on waxed paper or a large cutting board.  Popping them into the freezer for an hour really speeds up the drying time.

While the pretzel rods are drying and hardening, download and print out your tags.  I have provided you with several types.  There are the cute Monster Yums,  A Treat for My Sweet, and the adorable Sweet Tweets.   Each sheet has 9 tags, so print out the amount needed and cut to size.  Have your kids (or you) write a little note to the intended recipient on the backs of each tag.

Using a hole puncher, punch a hole in the corner and string some baker’s twine.IMG_6510
