A few months ago, I was contacted by the adorable Crystalyn of Flavor Pink. She blogs about her family and her awesome art work. Crystalyn is seriously talented and when she offered to make me something from her Etsy Shop, I was so thrilled!
I asked if she could make me the Custom Watercolor Silhouette and she agreed. I sent her a few profile shots of the family and my awesome artwork arrived last week!!! How freaking cute is it??
I absolutely adore it and hung it up on our gallery wall in the dining room. Our silhouettes look just like the real us!

This is really a lost art. When I see these silhouettes, it takes me back to some wonderful books I have read where the lovely lady would give her beloved a silhouette for him to keep near his heart… I have a “life size” one of my older son and also of my middle child Ian. Strangely, none of my daughter’s teachers have done this! The details you add Crystalyn are amazing. The hair at the nape of the neck, the fly aways, and the clothing! Just beautiful! I guess I have quilted myself enough to try to do one of my daughter Rhiannon… LOL!

I have something to add to the conversation. Usually it’s caused by the sincerness displayed in the article I read. And after this post “Flavor Pink Silhouette Giveaway!”. I was excited enough to drop a thought 🙂 I do have 2 questions for you if you do not mind. Is it only me or do a few of the comments appear like they are written by brain dead folks? 😛 And, if you are posting at additional places, I’d like to
