Cutting Edge Stencils recently sent me a stencil to use and review and I used it to redo my powder room!
Is it possible to love a powder room? I think so.
(giveaway is closed, thanks for participating!)
Keep reading because there is an awesome giveaway at the end.
One of my readers will win a Cutting Edge Stencil of their own!
(valued up to $50, plus free shipping. US residents only)
It took me a while to decide, but I finally chose the Zagora Allover Stencil and I am so happy with my choice. It is such an awesome small-scaled pattern, perfect for small rooms.
When we moved in two years ago, we knew the powder room would eventually need a makover and this was the perfect excuse to get started on this project.
The previous owners had the room (and ceiling) painted a very dark green. We added the bead board and trim work shortly after we moved in to lighten the room up a bit.
Well, thanks to Cutting Edge Stencils and some hard work, the room is exactly what I had imagined it would be.
We plan to replace the vanity and the flooring soon, so we didn't bother to mess with those just yet (but I wanted to, ha!)

This was not my first stenciling project…. remember my living room accent wall? That was also from Cutting Edge and it is called the Kerry Damask Stencil. It was such an easy project, but made a huge impact.
I seriously adore all of their stencil choices. I would probably stencil every room in the house, if my husband would allow that
{he won't… I asked}
If you have never stenciled before, don't worry. They have a ton of video tutorials for you to watch before you get started. Also, check out their Facebook page to see a lot of inspiration pictures submitted by their adoring customers.
In addition to the stencil, it is also a wise investment to buy their patent-pending clip on level. This takes the guesswork out of stencil placement!

A few of my other favorites are
Not only do they have awesome wall stencils, they also have a super great selection of smaller craft stencils. So, even if you can't (or don't want to) paint walls, you can do something super crafty and fun like paint pillows or embellish furniture.
I will be back on Wednesday to discuss the nitty gritty details like paint colors, accessories, a few helpful tips, some mistakes I made and how to avoid making them. Make sure you check back in! In the meantime, enjoy some more pictures before you enter the awesome giveaway!
